Alaska V-belts with Aramid cord
“Aramid” is the generic name of wholly aromatic polyamide. They are generally used where the power transmission requirements are very critical, apart from space restrictions on the installation and take up allowances permissible. Aramid cord is used as tension member in such cases because of its inherent length stability and high tensile strength.
Alaska FRAS marked V-belts
Alaska standard V-belts do have anti-static properties. Certain working environments such as coal mines and sensitive petro-chemical installations require V-belts having fire resistant properties in addition to normal anti-static properties. Alaska FRAS V-belts are suitable for such environments. FRAS construction V-belts are tested to ensure that it complies with the requirements of BS 3790 and ISO 1813.
Alaska Extra Anti-static, Oil & Heat Resistant V-belts, XAOH
Alaska Extra Anti-static, Oil & Heat Resistant V-Belts are developed to work in ambient temperature upto 100°C.
Alaska Dry Cover V-belts ( Polyester / Aramid )
The dry cover V-belts are suitable for drives having clutch application like lawn movers, chemical industries where contamination is not acceptable.
Alaska Profile Belts
In some of the applications, it is desired that the belt should convey material. In such cases, the V-belt needs to have a special construction depending on the type of material to be conveyed. VAIL manufactures these type of belts to cater to such applications. Only conical top profile is in current manufacturing range. Other profiles can be manufactured upon request.
